What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:
- Are you passionate about the power of language? Do you have a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and tone? Curro Holdings is looking for a Language Specialist who can help us ensure our content is top-notch, consistent, and impactful across all platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proofread, edit, and polish content to meet Curro’s Language Style Guide
- Collaborate with writers and design teams to review copy for marketing, communication, and education-related collateral
- Maintain quality control over language use, tone, and clarity
- Write and translate content (Afrikaans fluency is a plus!)
- Juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines like a pro
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum: Matric + a relevant tertiary qualification
- Advantageous: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, or similar
- Proven experience as a Copy Editor, Language Practitioner, or similar role
- Strong grasp of language trends and media best practices
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
